Once again this year, Formest was a sponsor of the Welcome Design Workshops, a project by the Iuav University of Venice, promoted by the Venice Foundation, under the patronage of ADI – Association for Industrial Design and AIAP – Italian Association for Visual Communication Design.

The common thread of the 2023 edition was DESIGN GROUNDS. Exploring the fields of design amid history and innovation. The workshop dedicated to Formest was led by the designer, Monica Graffeo, assisted by Elia Venturini. The title: Under Pressure. Interpreting the soft power of metal.

It was an exciting, meaningful experience that allowed young students to get hands-on experience and rethink sheet metal as a generator of comfort and protection. Harnessing Formest’s specialised expertise, the designers and students discussed the expressive possibilities of sheet metal as an opportunity to respond to the new demands of the spaces we inhabit.

The project presentation was held at the IUAV on 22 September 2023. Formest was delighted to host an exhibition at its premises dedicated to the resulting concepts: a way of involving its employees and giving visibility to so much creativity.
