The following is our experience in the design and manufacture of large sliding doors in tooling machinery sector.
For Jobs, we provided four huge safety sliding doors for the multi-axis milling machine for use in machining part of the fuselage of the 717 Dreamliner for the aircraft industry.
The machine casing, located in the Alenia facility in Grottaglie, needed to ensure an opening of 22 m for access to the machining centre of the transport shuttle of the frame.
So, we created large rail system using box girders, fitted with a system of two rollers positioned at the ends of the four door sections. This engineering solution ensured coplanarity and compensated for any unevenness of the floor.
