Below, we present the proposed design study for industrial protection of a gantry milling machine.
The aim of this concept is to clad and integrate the various volumes that characterize this type of machinery through design, without adding complexity to the product and with a focus on production costs.
An example of aesthetics applied to design to cost is provided by the perforated panels of the tool storage.
Instead of expensive polycarbonate surfaces or unaesthetic mesh protection panels, simple press-bent panels were chosen for use.
The circular hole pattern, inspired by the world of architecture, not only ensures visibility inside but also provides visual lightness, harmonizing perfectly with the design of the casing.
