Design industriale applicato alle macchine industriali

Formest is an industrial company operating in the development of guards and enclosures for machines and plants, integrating engineering, sheet metal fabrication, and assembly activities within a structured process.

The company works on projects intended for complex production environments, where safety, functionality, and operational continuity are central elements.
For this reason, guards are not treated as isolated components, but as integrated parts of the machine system, designed in relation to real use, operating modes, and installation context.

Concept development, technical engineering, manufacturing, and assembly are managed as parts of a single process, with constant collaboration between the engineering department and the workshop.

This approach makes it possible to develop solutions that are technically coherent, manufacturable, and reliable over time.

Expertise in sheet metal processing and industrial fabrication is combined with in-depth knowledge of the application requirements of industrial machinery.

Materials, geometries, access points, assembly methods, and finishes are defined according to usage, maintenance needs, and expected operating conditions.
Alongside industrial guards, Formest manufactures components, structures, and systems for machines and plants, up to the development of complete machines based on the customer’s technology.

The co-design approach allows technical decisions to be addressed from the earliest stages, reducing critical issues and discontinuities in subsequent production and installation phases.

The company operates according to certified management systems, integrated into daily activities and focused on process control, result quality, and the safety of the people involved.

History and People

Formest was founded in 2002 as the evolution of a business started in the previous generation.

Over time, the company has consolidated an organization capable of handling projects of different scales and complexity, maintaining an operational approach based on method, responsibility, and attention to detail.

Today, Formest operates according to a structured and circular working model, in which the different phases of the process are not separate compartments, but parts of a continuous system.

Engineering, manufacturing, assembly, and installation continuously inform one another, ensuring technical consistency and operational continuity throughout the entire project lifecycle.

Technical, production, and organizational skills are integrated into daily work, encouraging collaboration between the engineering department and the workshop and allowing each project to be approached as a unified whole, rather than a sequence of isolated steps.

This approach enables the transformation of projects and drawings into industrial solutions aligned with application requirements and production context constraints, maintaining continuity between concept, realization, and final use.
